The Math Corps is an AmeriCorps program that provides one-to-one
tutoring to 4th-8th grade students who are not proficient in
math. Members are trained in prescribed mathematics
interventions and conduct regular progress monitoring and
assessments to ensure each student is on track toward
proficiency in the necessary math skills. In addition, members
participate in AmeriCorps programming including engaging
volunteers and personal and professional development training.
During the 2010-11 school year, the Math Corps will be serving
students in the following three geographic areas: Saint Cloud,
Saint Paul, and East Central Minnesota (Chisago City, North
Branch, Rush City, Hinckley, etc.) |
