Program Development
Designing Innovative Programs to Address Social Problems
Our research projects under Program Development illustrate the products of an iterative development process guided by the needs of stakeholders, the research literature, and the people power of AmeriCorps.
Much of our innovative program development focuses on improving the education experiences of children. We are also working to use data-driven solutions that use AmeriCorps to combat environmental issues and the opioid epidemic. New programs and pilot projects offer the unique opportunity to translate existing research into sustainable and impactful programming.
Programs that have been developed through this process include Minnesota Recovery Corps, Preschool Math Project, Total Learning Classroom, Word Construction and MAVRIC: Building the Vocabulary Skills of Young Children.
