This year for AmeriCorps Week (March 10-16), we’re going big. It’s the 30th anniversary of AmeriCorps in Minnesota and nationally, so we wanted to do something special to celebrate. We are hosting an AmeriCorps Opportunity Fair as well as a T-shirt Design Contest!
AmeriCorps Opportunity Fair
The AmeriCorps Opportunity Fair will be a fun, career fair-style event where you can learn about all the amazing paid AmeriCorps opportunities in Minnesota. Join us on Tuesday, March 12 to explore AmeriCorps options and the special benefits of AmeriCorps, including career development, money for school, pausing student loan payments, and discounted transit fares.
If you’re a current member or alumni, this is also a way to celebrate your service and get ready for what’s next! Members and alumni will have special access to resources to help them in their careers as they embark on life after service, including resume advice and support with the education award.
T-shirt Design Contest
We’re also hosting a T-shirt Design Contest for this event and for AmeriCorps Week! All members and alumni are welcome to create a design that celebrates the impact of AmeriCorps in Minnesota. All designs are welcome, regardless of your design experience! Designs can be digital or hand-drawn, and if hand-drawn, will be digitized. Be sure to read the contest guidelines before you submit your design and submit your design by Feb. 12 (extended from the original deadline).
The winner will get a $100 gift card in addition to their design, name, and handle (if desired) on the t-shirt. We’ll distribute the t-shirts at the AmeriCorps Opportunity Fair!
